A healthcare insurance client was overly dependent on manual processes and lacked a single data source for their product catalog, which was preventing them from optimizing their business processes or expanding their sells beyond the existing products.
The Problem
The client needed to improve their Product Lifecycle Management and enable the company’s product catalog to be available digitally while establishing a single data source for all catalog product information. They also needed to expand their product catalog to include mid-market products.
The Solution
Although this project’s timeliness and business objectives changed, Ruleware was continuously engaged with the client in order to build mid-market product catalog, to enable/train the client on the Pega platform and to establish case and business process management efficiencies and transparencies over legacy manual processes.
The Result
With a strong collaborative team and solid methodology approach, this insurance solution was delivered three months early, under budget and with zero blocking defects. The final solution entailed:
- Reduced data defects.
- A Pega Product Composer System for supporting the majority of the client's standard products.
- Business process improvements made to their Product Lifecycle Management.
