Building Bridges: Rulesware Aims to Close the Requirements Gap with Process Bridge

We’re thrilled to report that Rulesware has been working on a new process modelling tool called Process Bridge that’s packed with innovative, patent-pending technology designed to help businesses get in touch with their customers.

Process Bridge is a process modelling tool designed to engage business users directly in the process improvement lifecycle. It’s designed to ‘bridge’ the gap between the IT groups tasked with developing business process solutions, and business users: the people who know the processes best.

The core idea is to keep those two groups connected, so that the right solutions are developed for the right reasons. We’re excited about Process Bridge’s unique ability to optimize communication and understanding among customers, internal business users, and process improvement teams.

How Process Bridge Closes the Gap in Enterprise Process Knowledge

1. It engages the subject matter expert community via crowdsourcing

Process Bridge uses crowdsourcing to break down barriers in traditional requirements gathering. Business stakeholders can collaborate with process participants and process improvement teams to source ideas and confirm process activities and models with each other. Process owners gain confidence by seeing the results of social interaction and dialogue, and can always make sure that all participants and stakeholders have ‘bought-in’ to proposed changes. Process Bridge gives each SME a voice through comments and ratings, while providing Product Owners with easy ways to incorporate feedback. And it uses easy-to-learn, industry-standard Business Process Management Notation, or BPMN for short.

2. Process Bridge helps to get the process right — the first time!

Because Product Owners have improved access to the SME community, they can solicit continuous feedback to ensure that they’re going live with the right process, the first time. They can also quickly and easily document process and high-level specifications, and get instant feedback that truly improves the quality of documented requirements.

3. It helps to manage processes over time.

Process Bridge users can use heat maps to observe what people in their organizations are saying about processes (what’s hot and what’s not). They can also manage organizational processes in a unified location: a single click promotes process changes.

4. Process Bridge makes process-driven requirements gathering simple.

You can document each and every stage in your process with specifications using any project methodology (ideal for BPM applications), plus Process Bridge’s BPMN 2.0-compliant process designer ensures that you always have a high-quality process diagram, without the steep learning curve.

Who It’s For

Process Bridge is an invaluable tool for the SMEs on the front lines with customers who want to share their feedback, and for the development teams who want to get their process right the first time. But it’s also an ideal tool for executives looking to break down communication barriers and speed up project execution, and for product owners responsible for owning and refining operational processes.
